Grenville Mutual Insurance Company Chooses Cognition+ as Core Platform Provider

Kemptville, Ontario – August 20, 2019 – Grenville Mutual Insurance Company (GMIC) has chosen Cognition+ as its core platform provider. Cognition+ provides a web-based insurance enterprise platform. Grenville Mutual, a technology adoption leader, continues its digital evolution with partner, Cognition+, with this significant platform upgrade project.

This update will provide several immediate benefits to Grenville and its partners:

  • Web-based, anywhere, anytime, any device access;
  • Role-based workflows, access and task management;
  • Best-practice processes and usability;
  • Privacy and security, as well as scalability;
  • Application programming Interfaces for extendibility;
  • Standardized document retention and creation.

Over the longer term, Cognition+ will provide heightened access and insight into Grenville Mutual’s data, optimizing data entry and retention, while enabling real-time transactions with third parties. The Cognition+ solution will work in tandem with GMIC’s current implementation of the Insurance Business Solution (IBS), which will allow the Grenville team to continue to provide an ongoing series of digital improvements for its brokers and other partners.

“Our success comes from our people and our ability to leverage technology to improve communications across these key stakeholders. The Grenville team has been initial adopters of many technological improvements over the years, with a significant partner being Cognition+ and we strongly believe this new product will add great initial and long-term value to our business operations,” stated Ross Lincoln, President and CEO of Grenville Mutual Insurance Company. “Connectivity with our Brokers and members is important and being able to provide the right products at the right price is essential to our succeeding in this highly competitive and changing marketplace. Our teams work well together and we’re looking forward to a successful implementation project as well as a continuous innovation roadmap from the folks at Cognition+,” added Lincoln.

“Grenville has been a leader in technology adoption for over 20 years, so it is no surprise that this company is an early adopter of our next-generation software, Cognition+. Our longstanding partnership has helped to drive many improvements in the way that Mutuals do business. Grenville’s team is focused on its Broker distribution channel and supporting their policyholders using the most current channels for upload/download and web services. We know this team will appreciate leveraging further Application Programming Interfaces to extend their business, and we’re looking forward to having their front-line Business Development Team adopt the highly efficient workflows contained within Cognition+. Our joint kickoff of this project has set the stage for this project to be delivered on time and within budget,” stated Randy Straeten, President and CEO of Cognition+.
